Spiderman Puzzle

I have a VERY hard time throwing any of Diego's masterpieces away. I also can not save them all so about a year ago I started taking pictures of my favorites with his name and date written on them. This day Diego drew a picture of Spiderman. I love to see how his "people" drawings have changed over time.
Good thing I took the picture because when I came back in the room he was cutting it into pieces and making a "puzzle" for me.

  1. Selena has done this to me too.

It can be so heart breaking to us parents, don't they understand??

  4. Sometimes you have to be so quick with that camera. I have missed capturing a few masterpieces because I was not quick enough.

I read with interest your previous post about the teacher conference. It is wonderful to know that this teacher appreciates, acknowledges and accepts that there is more than one way to complete a task. Every child may not produce the same outcome and therein lies the beauty (in my opinion). Open ended activities with no predetermined way to complete the task are so much richer than getting all of the students to do the same thing at the same time. I will get off my soap box now!!!

It did actually take me longer than I thought to make the textured cards (I am a master at thinking something will only take half an hour and more than an hour later I am still making it). I think they took just under two hours in total (cutting card, finding materials etc). But, I am going to try and incorporate them into future activites.

  5. I'm not always quick enough to get the masterpieces either. But, I must say I love the creativity that went into making this Spiderman.

  8. What a great picture!!

I do the same - take photos of my favorites. Recently I took all of those photos and turned them into a photo book (on Shuttefly).

PS: Thanks for stopping by my blog!
