We checked My Colors, My World Mis Colores, Mi Mundo out of the library again because we liked so much. This is a beautiful bilingual book in English and Spanish. It is about a little girl who lives in the desert so her entire world seems brown. She looks closely and finds all of the beautiful colors around her.
In one part of the book, the little girl makes mudpies and decorates them with bright orange marigolds. Since we have had rain almost daily for a month, we have a yard full of mud just begging to be played with. Here is one of D's mudpies and other fun in the mud. It looks a little gross but they, of course, had a blast!
They sure look like they had fun! Not my idea of fun though, hehe.
ReplyDeleteYou are a BRAVE momma! =)
ReplyDeleteSchools around here are starting dual language classrooms (in early grades), in addition to bilingual classrooms and ESL classrooms. Have you heard of these? If so, any opinions?
ReplyDeleteGood for you lettting them play in the mud!!

ReplyDeleteIt does look gross - but I'm sure my kids would have thought it was a blast too!
ReplyDeleteI so see my daughter right next to your son :) That mud pie looks really nice, and the book is interesting - I'll see if our library has it.
