My husband finally finished the Lego Table that he built for the boys. I am very pleased with him because instead of the spending $100+ dollars to buy one like we had planned to, he made this one for under $30. Diego already knew about the table so we decided to make it an early Christmas present and distract him from his constant "Is it Christmas yet?" questions. It has already provided HOURS of fun. Thank you, Papi!

That is so cool! (and so much cheaper). Might have to see if sunnyboy's dad would like to make one. :)
ReplyDeletewow! i love it! diego's lego creations are amazing! i have to say, even i can only think of building a tower!
ReplyDeleteawesome! where did you guys get the green sheet of lego that goes on top of the table?
ReplyDeleteVery impressed! I would also love to know where you go the sheet of lego for the top.
ReplyDeleteThe Lego on top appears to be multiple Lego Building plates. http://shop.lego.com/product/?p=626&LangId=2057&ShipTo=US
ReplyDeleteThey also sell Duplo plates (For $14.99) Or you could use the Nilo double-sided plates. http://www.nilotoys.com/acc.htm for $22 each. (we have 2 of these because we found a Nilo table on Craigslist that came with them. They are AWESOME)
We love those big plates too. We don't have a space for the table, so we build on the floor and then put the constructions under the couch. Yay to Papi for building this cool table for the boys.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to make it yourself! I love do-it-your self projects, especially when they are so much cheaper! Your little boy is very talented with his lego building.
ReplyDeleteSounds like this table will provide hours of creative fun. Diego's obviously very clever when it comes to putting things together - just like his Papi.
